For law enforcement
Tariq responds to legal requests from UAE authorities and from authorities in other jurisdictions where compelled by a valid mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) or equivalent process.
We do not respond to informal requests, phone calls, or emails without supporting legal process. Please submit your request via the channels below.
What we can produce
- The structured report record (plate, behavior, timestamp, GPS coordinate, reporting user ID).
- Account metadata for a specific user (phone number, registration timestamp, last sign-in).
- Acknowledgment records (which users tapped which emoji on which report).
What we cannot produce
- Original voice recordings — these are discarded within minutes of processing and cannot be recovered.
- Continuous location data — we don't collect it.
- Content from other apps, contacts, or photos — we don't collect any of that.
How to submit a request
- Send the signed legal instrument as a PDF attachment to legal@mytariq.com.
- Identify the user by phone number or account ID.
- Specify a clear date range. Requests without scope are rejected.
- Provide a return contact within the requesting authority.
We acknowledge receipt within 3 business days. Standard responses take 10–30 days depending on scope.
Emergency requests
If you believe there is an imminent risk of death or serious injury, mark the email subject with [EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST]. We will route to a duty officer and aim to respond within 24 hours.
For data subjects
If you are a Tariq user (or were reported on Tariq) and want to exercise your data rights under UAE PDPL or EU GDPR, please write to privacy@mytariq.com with the subject line:
[ACCESS]— to receive a copy of data we hold on you.[CORRECTION]— to correct inaccurate data.[DELETION]— to delete your account and associated data.[OBJECTION]— to object to a specific processing activity.
We respond within 30 days. If you are reported on Tariq but do not have an account, you may still request deletion of the structured report record by including a photo of your vehicle's number plate and a copy of your Emirates ID (we will use these for verification only and discard them after the request is processed).
